i love that there’s this way for neuroatypical people to find things that are soothing or calming. i love the attention videos and the strange sounds videos and i love that it’s very female-centric in it’s contributors and viewers.
and i know why people try to turn up their noses at it and scoff at it. it’s that reason right there. it’s soft and calming and soothing and all about providing for the curious eccentric needs and desires of atypical people and with a strong effeminate quality and that just bothers some people, to see something like that exist without being chided and shoved around and scrutinized. That reaction is so unsurprising and so telling.

they didnt tag it or anything and they even put it under a cut because its a headcanon for a character that is already a underrepresented identity in the canon and they knew that was possibly upsetting so they were just keeping it to themselves and mutuals
but somehow they still got a bunch of anons telling them they're 'stealing representation' and 'erasing identities and narratives'
like fuck they're just doodling a personal AU that they're not trying to spread or claim has basis in canon, its literally them projecting their identity onto a character they relate to and it affects no one and they go out of their way to keep it out of fandom tags or anywhere people would be forced to look at it and they preface all the posts with "ummm im sorry this is dumb/offensive but it just means a lot to me i dont think its canon"
