my bro said to me that he might be demisexual or gray ace when we were driving home from the movies I brought up the subject, talking about asexuality and stuff, and he was all “yeah, so maybe I might be one of those terms you just mentioned.” Pretty cool, and now I know why he doesn’t think Emma Watson/Karen Gillan/Olivia Wilde are hot. It was always kind of a puzzle.
I agree with the misogyny, kind of with the homophobia, acknowledge there are racist people in Hetalia and Supernatural (although I am sick to death of people claiming Hetalia is inherently racist), but this? You just pulled this out of your ass, didn't you? I've never seen any fandom where the n-word was used openly and freely, with masses of people approving or excusing it.
So you know, links? Proof?
in response to a black person's fandom experiences, ladies and gentlewomen, nonas and biba: ffa
Clint/Coulson has never--to my knowledge--received any love on meme.
(I'm sorry, but I judge people that still ship that. There is NO ground, not even a two-centimeter ledge, for that pairing. And I usually don't care about that stuff.)
duncurr about that ship but the smug I'M JUDGING YOU is dumb
i have no idea wtf ffaers are talking about when they start going on about SJ this or SJ that, like
in a general sense i kinda do but it's so vague and weird that it sounds like they're complaining about getting a condiment they didn't ask for or smth
like damn it I ORDERED THIS FANDOM WITH NO SJ AND IT'S JUST EVERYWHERE and it never used to be like this abloobloo what are you even talking about ppl had discussions not fandom related 10 years ago too
I've been in fandom since the mid-90s and I've never seen the n-word being used. Homophobic and misogynistic slurs? Yup but it was always called out on. And guess what, SJ hasn't changed that all since I still see gay bashing and misogyny in fandom and it still gets called out on but now those people are a lot less likely to listen since they just write off anyone who calls them out as a "crazy" SJW (especially when it comes to misogyny, homophobes never did last long in fandom).
You act like fandom was such a horrible thing before when it really wasn't.
