god starting conversations is so fucking hard, especially in person

gotta go talk to my landlord about moving out tomorrow

do i just go in and be like "hey i have some questions about my lease"

or "hey i have to move and i need to clear up some stuff i'm not sure about"

or do i ask if they have time to talk first, ask to schedule a time to meet or something

ugh

depends, is your landlord just some person who owns the place you're renting, or do you have a property management firm who controls the place?

do they know you're moving?

there is a larger company that controls stuff but i never had anything to do w/ them when i was renting (landlord just forwarded the paperwork and stuff) so i assume i wouldn't have to contact them for this either

and no she doesn't know yet, but i figured i should tell her in person and then give official written notice after that, idk

hi me D:

i spend way too much time stressing about starting conversations

i would go in and say "hey i have some questions?" just to open it up and then say "well i'm going to be moving out and have some things i wanted to clear up"

depends on what their schedule is like? my landlord just sits in the office all fucking day doing nothing, so i'd probably just go in and talk. but my old landlord was p busy because he had a lot of properties and actually fixed things, so i'd probably try and schedule a time to talk first
