i know but i just cant. i hate doing it so much. i know that she'd be more than willing to do it but i hate owing people money so much

okay but conferences are how you get contacts and internships and jobs. you can ask and consider it an investment in a job down the line or you can not want to owe anyone money and lose out on jobs and internships to the person who takes your place.

a job in your field is worth a couple of months of feeling uncomfortable about debt, isn't it?
