Some girl marched in, gave the manager a hug, apologized “for how it all went down,” and then said: “but I really need a job. Only part time. I’m only allowed to work 20 hours a week, by law.”
I’ll save you the rest of the conversation. But I’d like to remind folks, and I’d do it to this girl’s face if I wasn’t scared she’d beat me down…
“BY LAW” means, if you work more than 20 hours per week, your state funded services will be cut. By all means you are allowed, PLEASE, work 20+ hours a week. It means that, after 20 hours, you’ll have to manage your funds more responsibly than your acrylic nails and iPhone are currently permitting.
Milking the system is disgraceful. Shame on you.
I work in social work. I see this A LOT. I always want to punch them in the face. Thank you, degenerate citizen, for allowing me to work to pay for your nails and iPhones.

ugh i was helping my mom watch her neighbor's cat while visiting her and it was literally the cutest fucking cat in the world and i mean i'm a 21 yr old girl on the internet you know i've seen some damn cute cats in my time and can say that w/ conviction
sometimes, whenever i eat m&ms, i like to hold two m&m’s in between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one m&m cracks. i eat the cracked one, and the one that didn’t crack becomes the champion. then i grab another m&m and force it to compete with the champion in this deadly game of m&m gladiators. i do this until i run out of m&ms, and when there’s only one m&m left standing, i send a letter to m&m's brand with the champion m&m in it with a note attached that reads: “please use this m&m for breeding purposes”
