It’s one of the reasons I like her so much, because she isn’t a fucking Knight of the True Canon™ like so many others in the fandom are. She doesn’t get pissed off and try to yell about how stupid you are if you like your canon in a different way - you’d be surprised how many others do.
Unless, of course, your canon is abusive, shallow, poorly-thought out trash, and then she will speak out. As she should.
She cares about these “pixels” for far more reasons than just “wishing her characters could fuck them”, just as she cares about people for far more reasons than just wishing she could fuck them. This was the first space in the entirety of the fucking fandom where I felt safe, where I knew I wouldn’t be triggered by some stupid asshole’s ridiculous entitlement. Why in the hell should she have to put up with the crap she’s had to put up for years (even though it’s aimed at a bunch of “pixels”? Tell me, why should she?)
She writes canon in a way that only isn’t abusive trash (LIKE THE FUCKING ORIGINAL CANON IS IN SPADES) but is so brilliantly well-thought and manages to close the enormous truck-sized plot holes Gaider and his team of bumbling minions (aka the writers) left in their wake. She’s smart, intelligent, witty, and has done more for Thedas (fictional or not as it is) than the rest of you morons fapping over how traumatized poor Fenris is, or how it’s such a waste for Seb not to have sex, teeeheehee, like you whiny little pasty ass Hawke fangirls are fucking entitled to their bodies.
She cares more about the characters than you. She thinks in ways that would you chasing your tails for hours, then comes up with spectacular canon at the end of it and one that makes perfect sense. And at the end of the day, SHE’S JUST A BETTER WRITER THAN ALL OF YOU (including the official writers).
So, in conclusion, leave her the fuck alone, you pathetic little child, and come back when you’ve learned some gods-be-damned sense, or, at the very least, have learned how to write a story with half her skill, grace, concern, intelligence, and talent.
