My character has an extremelly bad imunological system, a condition he apparently inherited from his mother. I wanted a chronic illness for him to have other than his poor imunological system, or maybe even an chronic condition that explained his poor imunological system, but I don't know what it could be.
I searched for a couple of things, but I was confused. I'd like something that could be treated with medicine\vitamins. Bonus if the disease causes him to be physically tired

it's a family thing to me. no one in my family had a successful marriage, it sucks being a single mother, it sucks dating while being a single mother, it sucks having a person around that you really can't stand because of the kid.

Just a quick post to kill some time here at work.
I know I can't be the only one that thinks of all the things that would make a great proposal for myself. I have so many ideas! SO has told me that he's waiting for the right time and wants to plan something that will be perfect. I've told him several times I don't need or necessarily want a big public blown up proposal but I don't think that information sticks.
I could seriously give him a list of perfect opportunities that have happened in the last couple months. Why are men so terribly clueless?? During one of our half-joking-but-really-not conversations about getting married, he told me "I just don't know how I would do it." To which I replied, "J---- Chr---! Just GOOGLE IT!"
Seriously. I told my man to google "proposal ideas".
Part of me wants to tell my best friend (who can't keep her mouth shut about ANYTHING) about all my ideas and hope she leaks the information.
Its sort of like that time around birthday when he asks what I want and I say "nothing" when I really mean "I want something but I want you to figure it out based on how well you (should) know me, without having to tell you."

Male victims of sexual assault are taken much less seriously than female victims, and report the crimes less often for cultural reasons and knowing that they're unlikely to get anywhere with it. Handling of reports is poor and in need of work for both sexes, but for men it's significantly worse. And it snowballs into an idea of "assault of men is extremely rare and usually bullshit" because so few report and only a tiny percentage of them are believed when they do.

So, what is the absolute longest that you think you're willing to wait for your BF to propose? 2 years? 3 years? 4 years? Longer than that? Just curious, as I think it will be interesting to see everyone's responses about this.
I always told myself that 3 years was the absolute longest I'd be willing to wait. So, I've been feeling really anxious and stressed the past few months now that our 3 year anniversary is coming up really soon at the end of May. I love my BF so much and can't stand the thought of being without him. So, I can't say that I will definitely end things if we aren't engaged by our 3 year anniversary. However, I feel like I will at the very least be super depressed and disappointed if it doesn't happen by then. Mostly because I feel like 3 years should be more than enough time for him to decide whether or not he wants to marry me.
