Due to your desire to support local businesses, and to business and employment practices that are not consistent with your personal ethics, you have successfully boycotted Walmart for nearly 10 years. You do a favor for a family member who doesn't know that you have "a thing" about Walmart. The family member (unexpectedly) compensates you for the favor, with a relatively substantial ($75) giftcard to Walmart.

Is using the giftcard compromising your values? Why or why not?

If you were in this situation, what would you do with the gift card? Use it? Sell it for cash? Donate it?

research walmart loss leaders and buy only them
then resell those online

get rid of it if you're really worried about your ~values~

but walmart already got their money, they would PREFER that you not ever use it, it's all profit for them if you don't

retailers want you to not use giftcards because it'll be free money to them
