i've done it bb, and i'm terrible at interacting with people as well
if you're flying/training it's pretty easy, just wear headphones all the time p much
if you're driving then stick to restaurants near the road and people will expect you to be alone and traveling. i found that helped me a lot, if i was in places where travelers/tourists were expected
