dogs really scare me, and while i've gotten it under control enough that i don't freak out if i see someone walking towards me with their dog, i wish people would stop trying to convince me to try petting their dog even after i tell them i'm scared of dogs
my dad is the same way nona. he was attacked by some dogs as a child and hes still not totally over it. he can be around dogs when they're on a leash or behind a fence or something, but basically fuck u if you think hes gonna be in your house with your dog loose.
people dont understand phobias it seems, because EVERYONE tries to be like "omg its fine, my dog is super sweet and nice and wouldnt hurt anyone!" as if that matters
