nonas, if you had a child with someone and then broke up, would you be offended if their new bf/gf was posting pics on fb of themselves and your kid?

my friend started dating this guy p recently who has a kid. shes regularly posting pics of herself with the kid as if shes its mom, which i think is just really disrespectful to the kids ACTUAL mom. idk if i should say something though.

how is that disrespectful

idgi

u don't have to be someones mom to post pix of urself w/ them tho?

(Anonymous) 2012-05-03 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
idgi unless she is actually putting captions where it's like "my new son!"

(Anonymous) 2012-05-03 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
she posts pics of like, him sleeping and her kissing his forehead and things like that, and one time someone who she recently became friends with commented "is that ur son?" she went "not yet ;)"

ok so if they just started dating, it's weird - and honestly i see it as like an attention seeking thing like, LOOK I'M WITH YOUR KID AND YOUR MAN

but if they're serious, then whatever, she's in the kid's life, too

they started dating about 3 months ago, and she started posting pics with the kid after they met about a month and a half in

i'd only see it as MAYBE attention-seeking/petty if they knew the bio mom, knew they'd see the pix, etc. but otherwise who currs

lol y

u call a child "it" you are clearly an expert in this situation

(Anonymous) 2012-05-03 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
its mom

it's a little weird tbh since it's a new relationship, but it's not really your place to say that since they aren't your kids either.

as someone who had an abusive stepmom, i would have much preferred this kind of affection tbh

it's not disrespectful. a stepmother in many cases IS in a mother role.

lol wtf

it is not YOUR place to say anything.
