i really want to come out to my family but im legit terrified. (my dad is a racist and a homophobe and i've heard the names he uses. irl neckbeard for sure.)

i know that if i do, he'll kick me out of the house (i recently moved home bc i couldnt afford living by myself). i recently started dating a girl and id really like to be able to be open about how happy this makes me but at the same time, i'd really rather not deal with the shenanigans that i know will come with coming out to them.

i think my mom knows, but idk.

nona being out is rly nice but you also need to think of your safety. maybe you should move first before telling your parents.

Safety first, biba. Being out is cool but not worth setting yourself back over. Some fams want to pretend as long as they can. It's great that you have all that NRE and life is happy with your girl, but you need a place to live. Use how much it sucks that you can't be real as your compass for getting the hell out.
