no, i respect mothers who stay at home with their children. i don't respect mothers who cite the only reason they stay at home with them is because hiring a nanny to care for them would be 'too expensive' when they are making an absurd amount of money.
it does bother me when someone says "i don't want to pay for it" as their first and primary reason in regards to hiring childcare vs "i enjoy doing taking care of/bonding with my kids."
it doesn't lend itself to making me think positively about their motivations, sry
i don't feel bad about it when they insinuate my mother was a bad parent for not being at home more and then rant about the cost of childcare as wealthy people
