when people with privilege are laughing at individuals with the same privileges instead of at least attempting to use their privilege in a helpful way while marginalized people making those same jokes (which is a valid coping mechanism) are dismissed as being too angry and hostile, that is not a safe space for marginalized people
when someone is more concerned with how right they are and not the cause they’re attempting to focus on, that is not a safe space for marginalized people
when all someone needs to do in order to be considered an infallible expert on a subject is put a marginalized status in their sidebar, that is not a safe space for marginalized people
