how many times have y’all seen white people laughing at other white people and posting “lol white people” gifs instead of examining themselves, or straight ppl laughing at other straight ppl instead of examining themselves, etc. imo this is another nasty side effect of people acting like there is some kind of faceless group of bigots that are all horrible people with no redeeming qualities. prejudice is not that simple, it is present in tons of people who are otherwise kind, funny, loving, etc, and this is why it is so hard to actually beat back. if only assholes had prejudice then we would be living in a very different world.
