when i was in high school, i liked writing poetry. i recall knowing that others thought i was pretty good at it too. i wrote one for our senior grad program and it was apparently good enough that my english teacher raised my grade.
i was cleaning my closet yesterday and found a box full of junk i'll never throw away. in there was a rolled-up stack of papers, prints of my poems.
literally, every single one is either about how much no one understands me, how much i refuse to conform, or how sad i am, or how much some stupid thing made me feel happy for a change. :|
