like, the guys i know, they're not about making plans with girlfriends or being with girlfriends if they just want her for sex. they don't want to get married today, but they're not so afraid of marriage that they can't talk about it. it's down the path.

ofc, there are guys who keep a girl around because they don't want to play the game, want sex on demand, etc. but a guy's long-term goal should rly be similar to yours. if they can't even talk about it or it's so far out, it's prob not going to work out no matter how perfect he seems.

there are decisions i wouldn't want to do with a plain old relationship, like having kids, or a house. a dog was bad enough.

it's a family thing to me. no one in my family had a successful marriage, it sucks being a single mother, it sucks dating while being a single mother, it sucks having a person around that you really can't stand because of the kid.
