PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Darren Manzella, a gay combat medic discharged from the Army after criticizing the military’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy in a 2007 television interview, has died in a traffic accident in western New York. He was 36.
His aunt, Robin Mahoney, on Friday confirmed his death. Manzella lived in the Chautauqua County town of Portland; he and his partner were married in July.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Manzella was driving on Interstate 490 in suburban Rochester about 8:30 p.m. Thursday when his vehicle sideswiped a car. Deputies said he stopped his vehicle, got out and began pushing the car from behind. He was then hit by an SUV, pinning him between the two vehicles. He died at the scene.

and i made the mistake of telling my dad where she could hear that i've been looking at my timetable for the first few weeks and being pleased that it looks good, but slightly puzzling over the first day which is apparently a casual-dress day, but also the first day i meet a lot of people, so which way do i dress. but i have some nice new clothes either way
and my mum made it into this things about how i should have laid out all my complete outfits for the week and tried them all on and holy shit i'm just trying to manage my anxiety about this job i do not need u suddenly 'suggesting' that i'm preparing all wrong

i moved away from my parents specifically to be away from their neurosis because i'm an worrier without that on top of it. guess who calls me at 8 in the morning about a bill they can't understand or read? i can't read your things over the phone, mom. i am not clairvoyant.
