my friend's ex boyfriend killed himself yesterday

naturally, she's upset. she's married and has a kid now, but her relationship with this guy was a big part of her life with a lot of negative emotions surrounding it

on a personal level, i hated him. he was emotionally abusive to everyone, but no one more than her. there were threats of suicide in exchange for love and staying with him, near the end, so of course now she thinks this is all her fault, that she could have done something to help him.

... im mad at him and i feel like an asshole for being so mad when he died like this, but it makes me so angry that even in death, he's managed to make my friend so miserable. it makes me so, so angry and idk what to do with that anger

i hope she will be too. im devoting my time to her today. her mother is already in the hospital and her husband is away. she doesn't need this shit, and she shouldn't have to do it alone
