it's kinda complicated, lots of space politics and advertures and fighting and running, but the reason i keep thinking anon might like it is one of the alien races is cat ppl with the sort of society u might get from lion-based humanoid cat ppl so males just laze around and don't do much and bc of this males are thought of as useless and decorative and stupid and expected to fight and kill each other for territory etc while the females deal with important stuff liek trade and going into space and actually dealing with shit
pyanfar chaunr is the main character and she's totally badass
