i'm atheist now but a few of my aunts wore burqa for a while and they constantly got barraged with shit. my lil sis, my mom, and the women i know who wear headscarves get shit about it too. mostly go back to iraq or really racist and xenophobic vile things. ppl made sexual comments to them and harrassed them
