any nonas around who've had an arm/shoulder injury and had to wear a sling? esp. a dislocated shoulder? just for rly quick writing research purposes

i'm wondering whether you have to wear a sling to bed and how much of a pain in the ass that is (i imagine the second answer is "a lot" tho)

i fuck up my shoulders a lot bc of hypermobility and use medical tape to kind of bind it in place. it is a complete shit because the tape is so itchy. sometimes i bandage it up and kind of bind it to my body to keep it in place, but i really need to get a better support for it (i've got braces for other joints but nothing for my shoulder)

but having your shoulder immobilized is a pain in the ass lol

o and i will keep tape on at night but not a bandage bc of compression issues

also i have to lie on my back because if i lie on my side it will stuff my shoulder up again

and movement of my upper body gets quite hard because all the muscles work to compensate for the shoulder and tense up and it radiates outwards basically
