engineering and science degrees are generally necessary to get hired for certain jobs that are in demand, but the job market pretty much sucks for everyone rn

fwiw i have a science (biology w/ practical lab experience) degree and everyone i know that has a job either got it before the market crash or out of pity from a tenured teacher

my company is always hiring lab techs and u need practical lab experience

ime most of my engineering friends have jobs lined up when they graduate

then again i went to a v well-known engineering school
