even tho metalheads have a dress code i guess they're more a music related subculture, but they are above and beyond the most annoying subculture i can think of

once i went to an amon amarth concert bc like, idk, i just wanted to cross "go to a metal show" off my bucket list and my bf wanted to go

i thought i was gonna have to leave at first. i was one of maybe 5 women and the only non white person i could see. there were neonazis there openly displaying their tattoos. thank god i'm a light skinned latina and it was pretty dark, and i had my boyfriend with me, who's a pretty big dude, but i was so uncomfortable. the actual music was pretty great but omg, the fan base. i could not believe it.

what do you call the subculture where the guys have ridiculous mustaches that they spend $100s maintaining and dress like scots-american coal miners circa 1920 and brew beer and the women have huge hair and red lipstick and do ~burlesque~

bc i think that's the most annoying

i googled it and it looks like that term could apply to the women i'm thinking of, but not the men. the men are more like abraham lincoln and less like elvis
