i hate when people act like "passing" privilege is the same for all oppression

passing when it comes to racism is a big deal because if you're a light skinned POC your family and cultural history is likely to still have a huge effect on you

it's not the same thing as when i get straight privilege for being in a straight relationship

yeah. the only way in which they're similar is that they can be transient privileges - once people find out you're not what you seem you are, the privilege can go away

but white passing privilege =! straight passing privilege =! able-bodied passing privilege
