i have a friend who i've known since we were 11 and she was homophobic until she was about 19. i never condoned the homophobia but i stayed friends with her and i'm very glad i did
i'm glad you had room in your life for a homophobe and that you were okay with it, but i'm not okay with someone who thinks i don't deserve to have the right to control my own body
i wasn't okay with it at all and told her so whenever the topic came up
you don't have to be okay with it, i'm just saying she could change her mind, especially if she has pro-choice friends who disagree with her all the time
