so in the us is there a number of pages u have to do rather than a number of words? or is it accepted that so many pages = blah words

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
you mean in school? most of the time it's pages

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
yeah. do have a set font size?

idk it just seems rly easy to cheat than getting a set word count

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
yeah it's usually 12 times new roman with 1 inch margins and double spaced

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
okay that makes sense

here there's not strict formatting rules bc there's a set word count

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt but yes there is pretty strict formatting for most papers and guidelines

normally 1 inch margins w/ size 12 font only (times new roman or calibiri or w/e, not like impact or verdana lql)

it's usually pages so yeah it's easier to cheat. i rarely have to submit papers online so wordcounts would be really hard to check

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
it's different for different profs/classes. some ppl do do number of words

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
(normally that's if it's a shorter paper tho, ime)

[personal profile] justanona 2012-05-13 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
yeah its mostly pages. like i have a 7 page paper, a 10-12, and one paper that is quality not quantity lol

(Anonymous) 2012-05-13 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
depends on the professor

this seems to weird to me i don't understand the purpose of having pages instead of a wordcount? do they just want to be more flexible about wordcount? idk it just seems so weird
