whenever someone asks me for book recs to get into feminism i always have no answer

all the stuff i read as a bbfeminist is not something i would recommend now and everything i read currently would probably scare them off

np np. hope you enjoy them. most the readings in the downloads are from my feminist theory class

tbh i haven't even read any feminist books

i feel this way about bell hooks

on one hand, i think feminism is for everybody or margin to center are really good introductions to feminism

otoh, i can't stand her yay men <3 attitude

i see her more as incorporating men/teaching boys to be feminist whichh is a good attitude imo

but i fundamentally disagree with her assertion that men can be feminists and have a place in feminism

but men need to be taught to be feminists even if they arent ones.

okay, so don't read her. other people do think that men have a place in femnism. we can still all call ourselves feminists crankybutt

i always lol when butthurt dudes find bell hooks too ~misandrist for them

i don't necessarily think that she's overly "yay men", though she does spend some noteworthy focus on involving them in feminism, but if you think she's misandrist/alienating men then dude that tells me a lot about how much i really don't want men like you involved in feminism

u must hand in ur feminist educator card rn
