yeah i have a friend who spent a month in italy alone and she said she loved not having to compromise but she is a quite an outgoing and self-reliant kind of person

the language thing is a good point, lol. but then at the same time i'll be super awkward and embarrassed at having to use phrase book language

but that's the point - i'm not outgoing, i like going to museums or for walks or w/e and you can do that or just sit in your hotel room or by the pool or w/e you want
