based on the problems in france and belgium and australia and the uk with immigrants and racism, certain other parts of the world might need to start thinking about race in terms of culture and privilege.
it has taken a long time to hash out the language to confront these issues, and it has a long way to go, but continuing to see race in terms of make-up swatches isn't going to get anyone anywhere.
