loll

(Anonymous) 2012-05-06 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
i've found that burning something down gives me more satisfaction than voting ever would

(Anonymous) 2012-05-06 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
nothing is stopping you from doing both

(Anonymous) 2012-05-06 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
yes they are

do both but people not voting is a huge reason our political system is corrupt

(Anonymous) 2012-05-06 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
ikr? there's always a lesser evil, and complaining about the guys who got in when you didn't vote for the other guys is just stupid

(Anonymous) 2012-05-06 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
there's a reason the democratic party has been on this rightward drift for 30 years. the left could get it back, but people don't fucking vote.

i heard it put that people get inspired to vote for their interests against social rights, for greater religious influence etc, while the people who believe the opposite also believe that both sides suck so don't vote at all so only one side is actually damn voting

yeah that's probably about right.

i also remember arguing with nader supporters(in 2000)

they wouldn't accept the lesser of two evils. they had to have complete and total integrity. they were largely white, well-off, and male. i wanted to say "must be nice to have the privilege of being ideologically pure" but i was young and unassertive.

idg this bc i'm uk, but is it how people either dont vote or vote for parties that dont have a chance in hell instead of trying to keep the worst case scenarios out
