i heard it put that people get inspired to vote for their interests against social rights, for greater religious influence etc, while the people who believe the opposite also believe that both sides suck so don't vote at all so only one side is actually damn voting
i also remember arguing with nader supporters(in 2000)
they wouldn't accept the lesser of two evils. they had to have complete and total integrity. they were largely white, well-off, and male. i wanted to say "must be nice to have the privilege of being ideologically pure" but i was young and unassertive.
idg this bc i'm uk, but is it how people either dont vote or vote for parties that dont have a chance in hell instead of trying to keep the worst case scenarios out
