my friend adopted a dog that was hit by a car about six weeks ago. she met her right after the accident and visited her every day at the vet's and everything, and was super excited when they approved her to adopt.
the dog's a qt-pie, and was super lucky to survive at all, and considering how badly she was injured, she is doing so, so well. however, one of her legs was really badly damaged and has considerable nerve damage. she's gotten a little bit of feeling back, just enough that it seems to bother her.
even with a cone on, she managed to chew one of her toes off today, and my friend found her all bloody when she got home. D:
they're both ok now, but i can't even imagine if one of my cats did that, i would legit have a full-on panic attack.
