ugh i hate when people start taking about how expensive school is and like i have no problem with it b/c my parents are rich but i feel so awkward saying it. like the other day someone i know was like "you know what i did? i claimed independent from my parents so my income was not high enough and i get financial aid, maybe you could do that." and i was like "maybe" and then he kept talking about how to do it and then i was like "well right now my parents make enough.." and he was like "oh..okay" and then i felt awkward so i was like "probably not when i get to law school though haha" and he was like "yeah haha definitely, wouldn't that be nice"

but honestly they do make enough to pay for my law school...

my parents paid for my school outright too. i try to avoid talking about it and just turn the convo back to their stuff if i can

but if you have to admit it, try not to make it too awkward, because it can come off as really rude imo. just say that you know you were rly lucky.
