for comparison i really like both but i watched digimon as a kid

if it makes sense i think atla is a much more adult show in being entertaining?

but i feel like digimon is more relatable in bringing "adult" themes that kids deal with into a show clearly aimed at kids. like a nona mentioned earlier, it dealt with depression, ptsd, divorce, and a lot of other things in a straight up way?

i've never watched atla, but i agree about digimon. i can't think of too many kid shows at the time that would even touch something like ptsd or suicide. i can't think of many that are on now that would, tbh

also the kids weren't rich and a lot of them had single parents
