i hated it when i saw that trailer where the dad was the one the girl was all on good terms with and who wanted her to ~be herself~ while her mom was all mean and gender-normative
so fucking sick of the portrayal of men as being not as bad as women when it comes to sexism
how is the mom more gender-normative from the dad tho aside from the fact that she doesn't get along with her tomboyish daughter which is something that will change over the course of the movie bc character development
ofc she's the only one in the trailers bc they're highlighting a major conflict, i'm sure other ppl in the film are like that too even if her dad isn't
