Hey nonas!

If you were an evil sexy villain, how would you take over the world?

Need anything deleted?

everyone praises thor for having good female characters when tbh my first reaction was that they were mostly written in a pretty generic subtly sexist way, especially jane

how so

i don't have the energy to go into it in more detail rn and it's been a while since i saw it but basically jane was written there to be the love interest and that kinda swallowed up her character who could have been interesting

sif was the token badass warrior chick of the there can only be one variety. everyone was so shocked that she was a female warrior, that trope might have been fresh at some point but lbr it gets condescending after a while. she wasn't actively offensive and it was positively suprising that she wasn't a love interest but she was barely there

darcy was alrigth but barely there. her actress describes her as 'She's kind of like a cute, clueless, little puppy or maybe a hamster'. she's not actively offensive but imo her character was written in a kinda infantilising way which i personally fin squicky

there was potential for interesting stuff between frigga and loki but it was wasted bc she was barely there

idk i've seen much worse but i definitely wouldn't rec this movie for the interesting female characters

kat dennings is not capable of portraying a "good female character"
