do you think this generation of teens is beccoming dumber because they are growing up with facebook and tumblr

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
no

we're just exposed to more of their dum than we were before

also we're now old and looking back on teens as adults

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
no but the ways they process information are definitely changing

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
both of the above

also, cocks

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
wouldn't they be smarter bc of more exposure to information

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
exposure to information doesn't mean understanding/comprehension/critical thinking

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
all it really means is that people repeat what they consider insightful rather than form their own opinions

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
it doesn't to ppl who don't have comprehension/critical thinking skills but it rly speeds it up for ppl who do

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
n tho i'm a little worried about how years of tumblr use will affect their social skills

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
the people rlly into tumblr are introverts anyway, with or without it, i dont think it affects them that much

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
how is it worse than other sites? (i dont use it)

(Anonymous) 2012-04-24 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
idk about "dumber" but teens seem to retain information worse

like none of them memorize phone numbers or addresses bc they can just look them up on their phone

i don't think adults are exempt from this tbqh
