tbh i'm having so much more fun in fandom now when im not worried that im gushing over the wrong things or the wrong characters

i like being happy with people about certain fics and ships, i used to go on hate blogs and most of my fandom activities used to be making fun or raging at people who did shit i didn't like but it was so much more stressful

fandom is much more fun when i just read fic and stuff and don't look at the meta commentary - other fans ruin things for me

i've fallen in with a nice little group of fandom friends, a few of whom i can usually convince to at least take a look at whatever i'm into since we have similar taste and that's good enough for me.
