yesss and throughout my days in school, from elementary to high school it was a constant battle with them because i wouldn't say it, and then it became because i wouldn't at least stand up. they tried to say i was unamerican and hated our troops/didn't appreciate them going overseas to protect my freedom
one time in middle school i got lunch detention for snapping back that they weren't protecting freedom they were protecting the best interests and profits of corporations and keeping the citizens of the nations they invaded oppressed and scared
