i have. one place couldn't do it so they removed it from my credit report. one place could, they sent me the paperwork and i negotiated a settlement.

this debt they're claiming isnt even on my credit report. this is the first i am hearing about it ever, basically, which is why i was requesting validation.

that's the right thing to do then.

also, look at the date and then search for the statute of limitations in your state. if it's uncollectable you can tell them to stop contacting you
