hope she's not being misogynist in bashing her but just disliking a character isn't misogyny, its gnn plenty other things that proves she's a misogynist
idk i thought in the first season (the whole yusuke being dead one) she was pretty proactive. and during the first tournament she helped shizuru fight their way out of certain situations, so?
but idk riley's justification makes it seem like they're hating a character for the opportunities writers don't give her rather than her character itself
yeah don't get me wrong, she has a strong personality but it's like, idk, i'm picky and i think the roles in the story make a female character are what makes them strong to me. like not just fighting and holding their own, which is like lip service to say "see we don't hate women, we have an assertive one here" yet it's the guys who get the character arcs while the girls are on the sidelines and don't steal the important stories
though ia with you, she should be hating on the writers or editors more. that's what i do since it's their fault.
