I speak out against racism and I'm not a POC. I speak out against homophobia and transphobia, although I'm not L, G, B, or T. I speak out against abuse of domesticated animals and wildlife. I'm neither a domesticated animal nor any type of wildlife. I speak out against rape, but I never have been raped. I speak out for children and children's rights, but I'm an adult. I'm pro-choice, but I've never been pregnant or had an abortion. I support prison reform, but I've never been to prison. I support decriminalization of drugs although I don't do any drugs myself.
Lawyers do it all the time. Both defense and prosecution. As do social workers.
Ever heard of the Innocence Project or other organizations that speak out against the death penalty? I'd wager to guess that many, if not all, of those volunteers have never been on death row or will ever be on death row.
Doctors Without Borders send medical professionals to places that those medical professionals don't live and to help people who aren't the same race as (some/many of) them, who do not share the same cultural values and religious views.
Dog rescues rescue and rehabilitate dogs who've been abused and/or neglected and/or abandoned, but none of the staff are dogs themselves.
And I could go on for a quite a long while more, but I think you get the point.
