my fave kind of fanfic is where the characters are written true to the source and there's a focus on the whole cast not just one ship

those are some of my favorites too, altho sub "whole cast" for "sufficiently large portions of the cast" b/c my fave show has a billion characters

they're the hardest kind to write b/c you gotta have a plot thicker than "they have feelings and then sex," lol

tbh i think my least favorite kind is the kind that's almost like that but totally ignores one character for some stupid reason. like, if there's one black character, guess who hardly ever appears in ensemble fic?
