this is kind of dumbly sentimental but when i was growing up in the age where getting an easter basket was an exciting thing my family was really poor so my parents could never afford to get one of those giant fancy baskets or a variety of candy so usually i would just get a basket full of like tootsie rolls or something which don't get me wrong, i still enjoyed! but i think my mom felt bad about never being able to go all out for holidays

so now that i'm older and have enough disposable income it seriously makes me so happy to do things for her on holidays. idec about getting stuff myself but i love getting her stuff for valentines day etc. i just finished putting together her easter basket and it is so qt. there's a bunch of regular chocolate and also some fancy kinds and i put in a gift certificate to a spa and to a restaurant she goes to a lot on her lunch break. so excited to give it to her :3
