the problem is when bi people compare shitty comments from queer people to shitty comments from str8 people

sure it sucks when you get shitty comments from a community that's supposed to support you, but it doesn't carry anywhere near the same amount of institutional power that shit from str8ies does.

on a personal level, yes, it can be just as hard when someone you expect to be more understanding is an asshole. we at least expect it from sr8 ppl.

the problem is when people confuse personal experience and gay people being rude to actual oppression.

it upsets me way more when gay people treat me like i'm not a real queer, because i feel like they should know better. str8 people are just hopeless tbh so i expect it from them

but having my feelings hurt =/= oppression
