my car broke down, so i either need the money to fix it or need enough money to buy something cheap that will get me from point a to point b
i can ride public transit, but it is not very reliable in my city and its already made me late for work a couple of times. i dont want to lose my job over this. rn relying on rides to work from family and public transit home.
additionally a church might ask around for a member who can fix cars to donate their time so you just have to pay for parts, or smth -- not sure how much your $2000 is parts & how much is service so idk if that would help much
