+ 1 and this is why i can't stand "geek culture" and how bringing up the sexism/homophobia/racism is seen as "ruining" the culture. it must be some variation of the geek social fallacies.
geeks/nerds carry within them a persecution complex greater than any intrinstic logic, so what's most important is that everyone is "accepting" and nobody judges no matter the situation
it really is, and it's why i avoid most geeks (especially dudes, i've never met one who wasn't misogynist) even though i'm into stuff like video games and anime
and ofc anyone who calls that stuff out now is being an SJW!! and that's horrible
