they know they can't just rely on their members/gun nuts ignorance so they have to supplement that with "THESE doctors are biased(bc they want to take away ur guns), unlike THESE doctors we consulted. amirite?" type of delusion. real information gathered from actual professionals is the enemy bc it goes against the fantasy they've built.
