I don't know, when a man suggests he would like to be a woman for the benefits I don't automatically think of all the extra shit he'd have to go through as a woman. Because despite what people may say, you definitely still go through a lot more crap as a woman than a man... But I never took that as offensive.
I guess I'd see it worse if you were saying it to someone who was gay or fat. Because those are two groups that are still openly discriminated against in MAINSTREAM. Particularly fat people, where they are discriminated against by other fat people.
