i was homeless as a teen and the amount of anger and disgust you get from people (esp if you're not white AND you're also gay) is ridiculous.
like literally what do homeless people do to you? i would get yelled horrible slurs at me for sitting in a library too long. i would get spit on and told to get a job when i was 16 and struggling to get my social insurance number and id b/c my parents kept all of that when they threw me out. i couldn't work w/o a SIN card and foster care wasn't an option b/c i refused to stay at a group home where i was assaulted by a respite worker.
ugh. i was only homesless for 4 months and it gave me ptsd
